Changes
C1. Add support for installations with user profiles configured with the APPDATA environment value set to a UNC (Universal Naming Convention) path instead of a drive-letter path.
Internal third-party TransactNOW components require drive-letter-based paths for correct operation. Systems that use UNC paths for the APPDATA setting must provide
a redirected drive letter that points to the same directory as the APPDATA UNC path, or to an ancestor of that directory. For example, if the user profiles set APPDATA
to point to "\\myserver\sharename\Users\USERNAME\Application Data" (where "USERNAME" is replaced with the current user's login name), the profile must also provide a
redirected drive letter that points to "\\myserver\sharename\Users\USERNAME\Application Data", or to "\\myserver\sharename" or to one of the intervening directories.
Enhancements
E1. Adds support for the Prime-Online management system product.
E1. Adds capabilities required by upcoming versions of the 360 and Prime management system products.
E2. Includes a workaround for Network Configuration sites experiencing hangs during TransactNOW operations due to network errors. If a network error causes a login or credential-retrieval
action to 'hang' due to the lack of response from the NV server, the TransactNOW client will show a progress dialog providing the user the opportunity to retry the action or to cancel
the operation. While this does not correct the underlying network errors, and selecting the 'Cancel' option will usually cause the TransactNOW operation to fail, it allows the user to
continue operation without having to terminate the client-side process (usually Internet Explorer) that is hung up waiting for the response from the NV Server.

Changes
C1. Automatically installs the Sagitta import utility when Sagitta is selected as the management system. Note that on older Sagitta
versions the import utility does not support silent installation, so the import utility installer will prompt for the installation
directory for the import utility; the default directory should be accepted unless there are specific requirements for another location.
Fixes
F1. Corrects an access violation encountered by Standard-configuration users in the logoff expiration warning dialog.
F2. Corrects an error that could cause automatic update to fail on very slow machines.

NOTE: Version 6.0 is the last version of TransactNOW that will install on Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows ME, or any version of Microsoft
Windows NT; TransactNOW version 6.1 will require Microsoft Windows 2000 or later.
Changes
C1. All three TransactNOW client configurations (AMS360, Network, Standard) install from a single installer (.MSI) file.
C2. The new installers automatically install TransactNOW Client and TransactNOW SSO components for all users.
C3. All TransactNow Client components are written in C++ with no external runtime dependencies except the operating system.
Enhancements
E1. The new installer will correctly upgrade all previous versions; removal of the existing version is not required. Existing settings,
including the carrier login database file for Standard configurations, will be preserved.
E2. Due to change C2, the TransactNOW Client and TransactNOW SSO components install correctly in
multi-user (Citrix, Terminal Server) environments. This resolves problems like FOCUS issue #506733.
E3. Automatic update now downloads and runs the installation .MSI file instead of downloading and replacing individual files; this minimizes
the chance of a failed auto-update operation leaving the installation in an inoperative condition.
E4. The Standard and Network configurations will show a warning dialog when your TransactNOW login is about to expire.
E5. To avoid problems enabling the Sagitta diary and import facilities, installing for Sagitta (new installation or update)
will verify the location of the Sagitta import utility, Importit.exe. Importit.exe is a general-purpose utility used for importing
various types of external data into Sagitta, not just for the TransactNOW/Sagitta diary integration. To install the import utility,
use the "Utilities" link at the top of the Sagitta home page and click the "ImportItEX.exe" link.
Fixes
F1. Multiple memory leaks have been corrected. These memory leaks caused issues like FOCUS solution #15451.
F2. The diary program path for Prime is set correctly.
F3. The diary function will now operate correctly in multi-user environments (FOCUS issue #582619).
F4. The Network configuration will no longer return invalid carrier matches where the carrier code requested is a sub-string of another
entry in the database (FOCUS issue #407522 & #657399).
F5. Residual auto-login logic has been removed. Years ago the Standard configuration of TransactNow had an "automatic login" feature that
stored your login password and logged you in automatically as needed. This was a serious security hole in TransactNOW, and was removed.
However, some of the code remained and still allowed access to your carrier-login database without logging in to TransactNOW. This version
removes all of that residual code. As a result, any attempt to access the carrier-login database will make sure that you have logged in to
TransactNOW, and will have you log in if you have not yet done so. |

TransactNOW-NV and Standard Client Installs v5.0.28
1. The wording of Auto Update within the TransactNOW Management
Options has been corrected. It was previously listed as
“AutoUpdate”.
2. The password reminder screen was removed with our last production
release of the TransactNOW standard install. This reminder screen
has been added back into the screen flow of the standard
installation.
TransactNOW AMS 360 Client Install v5.0.28
1. If the standard version of TransactNOW has previously been
installed on the workstation, the TransactNOW AMS 360 installer will
automatically remove the standard installation prior to installation
of the AMS 360 client.
2. The export path from AMS 360 to TransactNOW is no long based on
TransactNOW registry settings. Instead it is being generated
dynamically based upon the user that is currently logged into the
workstation.
3. Carrier passport functionality has been added for AMS 360 v2.0
and above. The TransactNOW carrier passport icon can be found on the
top right corner of the User Center. The icon is used as a quick
launch into a carrier’s home page.
4. In previous release, the manual update feature was not working
consistently. Initiating a TransactNOW update by clicking on Start
-> Programs -> TransactNOW -> Update TransactNOW did not always
successfully launch the update process. This issue has been
resolved.

TransactNOW-NV and Standard Client Installs v5.0.16
1. TransactNOW-NV now supports 999 logins per user for each
carrier and provides the option to include a descriptive
identifier for each login entered.
2. One of the imported pieces of information required by support
is the Windows Script Host version that the client is running.
This information will now display under Start-> Programs ->
TransactNOW -> TransactNOW Management and Diagnostic Info.
3. TransactNOW Management Options is a tool that allows you to
edit various configuration options that you previously had to
directly edit the registry to change. You can edit the following
option through this tool: Debug Options (turn debugging on or
off); Time Out Minutes (edit the amount of time of inactivity
allowed without being prompted to login to TransactNOW again);
AutoUpdate (turn option on or off); Diary Options (turn on or
off – only available for use with Prime and Sagitta); Server IP
and Port settings.
4. TransactNOW is now able to interface with InStar systems.
5. The TransactNOW-NV client install will now be distributed as
an MSI file rather than an EXE file. The installation package
has been completely re-written. In doing so we eliminated some
of the screen inconsistencies and have a much smoother flow in
the installation process.
6. The TransactNOW client install for Citrix/ Terminal Server
users has been completely re-written. Previously questions asked
during the Administrator portion of the install were being asked
again during the Normal User portion of the install. These
extraneous questions have been removed from the Normal User
portion of the install.
7. In previous installation package releases, some of the back
buttons did not always take you to the previous screen, as
expected. This issue has been corrected in this release.
8. Some users reported errors when trying to install the
C:\Program Files\OA director rather than the default of C:\OA.
This issue has been corrected in this release.
9. Attempting to Uninstall TransactNOW as a Citrix or Terminal
Server client resulted in some unexpected errors.
10. In addition to the ability to create diaries for inquiry and
endorsement transactions, TransactNOW and Sagitta v6.5 can
automatically create diaries for quote request transactions.
Once you complete your transactions and close the TransactNOW
window, a diary will automatically be created for each
transaction that was processed. Refer to Sagitta online help
under the topic of “TransactNOW/Completing the TransactNOW
Section - Other Transaction Maintenance Page” for information on
how to personalize this feature.
11. TransactNOW and Prime v4.5 now provides the ability to
automatically create activities to track inquiry, endorsement,
and quote request transactions. Once you complete your
transactions and close the TransactNOW window, an activity will
automatically be created for each transaction that was
processed. No additional set up is required for this to occur.
12. TransactNOW offers the ability to turn off the automatic
creation of diaries/activities with Sagitta v6+ and Prime v4.5.
The new TransactNOW Management Options feature on
Start\Programs\TransactNOW provides the option to turn the
diary/activity feature off or back on.
13. This version provides the ability to send attachments from a
Sagitta policy for use with quote request transactions. This
feature will be compatible with a future Sagitta v6.5+ or InStar
v8.2.1 release and will only be available with certain carriers.
Refer to the Sagitta or InStar Release Notes and the TransactNOW
Carrier Partner listing for availability.
